The citizens of Mumbai have started taking actions into their own hands and devising a solution to this problem on their own. They joined together to clear the waste at the beach together and have been seeking remedial measures as soon as possible. Ameet Satam noticing this development said, “It was shameful and disappointing to observe that the tax-paying citizens of Mumbai took it on themselves to clean the beach after the problem was being neglected by civic bodies”.

In a recent meeting with the residents of Versova and Bombay High Court lawyer Afroz Shah, the MLA gave his reassurance that a solution will be brought to action in regards to the waste accumulation at the Versova beach. "Ameet Satam himself called us and heard our issues and plans. He assured us that he will take up the issue up with BMC," said Shah. Ameetji also concluded that it was an eye-opener for him after the meet with the VRV (Versova Residents Volunteers) members.
